Sand Point Elementary PTA

Just a reminder that we will be selling SCRIP cards tomorrow, Friday, from 3:25 to 3:45 pm at the student pick up area.  This is your last chance to stock up before summer AND support the Sand Point PTA just by buying gift cards to be used at your favorite stores!

On Thursday, June 14th, students will be harvesting the vegetables and herbs they planted this spring from the SPE Garden. Craig Bartleson, chef at Sand Point Grill, will be picking up the produce from school to clean and prep. On Friday afternoon, he will return to SPE for cooking and salad demonstrations in each classroom.

Also- We are happy to announce that SPE was awarded a $2,000 grant for the school garden from the Whole Foods Foundation. We are so excited to improve the garden program next year by working to integrate the garden more fully into classroom activities and curricula.

Parent Night Out PTA Fundraiser

Friday, June 15th 5:30-9:00 PM, onsite at SPE

Drop off your child(ren) and enjoy an evening of going out to dinner, seeing a movie or simply relaxing. Your child(ren) will be having pizza for dinner with ice-cream for dessert. Afterwards we will do a variety of activities such as: movie and popcorn, obstacle course in the gym, computer games, scavenger hunt, art project and maybe a mini talent show on the stage. The kids will help us design a fun evening!

The cost is $35.00 for the first child and $15.00 for siblings (over 5 years old). This includes the cost of dinner, dessert, snacks and materials.  Proceeds from the event will help support the PTA.  Our limit for the group is 35 children and the deadline for signing up is Wednesday, June 13th.  Sign up as soon as possible to secure your spot!

Return the Parent Night Out Registration Form with payment (cash, or check made out to SPE PTA) to the front office or your child’s teacher. You will receive a confirmation letter and follow up information

SPE is having a Rummage Sale to to raise money for teachers’ classroom supplies this Saturday, June 2nd, 9:00am-3:00pm.

Tell your friends and neighbors about this event and come on down to hunt for treasures!

Bring the whole family to The Ram in University Village from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 22nd.  A portion of the sales from that evening will be donated to the Sand Point Elementary PTA!  This is a fun way to raise funds for our school and catch up with fellow SPE families too!
